The Cutting Edge
Alike to the traditional Western style knives the majority of the Global knives are sharpened or ground on both sides of the blade. Where Western knives traditionally use a bevelled edge the Global knives are advantaged as their edges are ground steeply to a point and to an acute angle. The straight edge offered with Global results in a dramatically sharper knife which stays sharper for longer.
Weighted Hollow Handles
In order to create the perfect balance Global use a hollow handle which is accurately filled with just the right amount of sand.

Global knives are made from CROMOVA 18. This remarkable high carbon stainless steel has been designed by Yoshikin exclusively for Global knives. It is hard enough to hold the steep, acute Global cutting edge but soft enough to sharpen without difficulty. The material contains 18 percent chromium, this high percentage of chromium contributes to Global's excellent stain resistance.
